| Dear fellow Truth, Peace and Justice
activists, as you probably know, on March 17th, 2009 Splitting the Sky (aka John Boncore) was arrested and charged with obstruction (as he fully expected) when he tried, peacefully, to serve George W. Bush with a citizen's warrant, and to arrest him to stand trial for war crimes and torture. In doing so, he sacrificed himself for ALL of us who are concerned with Truth, Peace and Justice, and who want accountability for what has been done in our names in Iraq and Afghanistan. STS will stand trial beginning March 8th, 2010. He has been granted a 5 day trial to present evidence of war crimes and torture, as well as the involvement of the Bush regime in the events of 9/11, to justify his actions under the legal principle of "Civil Resistance". This has NEVER been done in Canada before and could set an important legal precedent. He has an excellent legal team that includes for US Attorney General Ramsey Clark, Charles Davison and Gail Davidson (Lawyers Against the War) He has the full support of former Congress Woman and Presidential Candidate Cynthia McKinney, as well as Dr. David Ray Griffin, Prof. Peter Dale Scott, Prof. Anthony J. Hall, Prof. Kevin Barrett, and many other notables too. This case will, however, be costly! You can help STS by helping to raise donations for his Legal Defence Fund by downloading, burning and offering this DVD to the public during your street actions or public events. And please be sure to give this case a mention whenever possible in public, as it is not receiving the attention it deserves.
