| Remembering
a good friend, outstanding man, excellent thinker, writer, comic, a
great Canadian Patriot and strong advocate for 9/11 Truth and
Justice: Mr. Hal Sisson,QC of Victoria, BC. Hal always left his audience laughing ... but not today. He bowed out, gracefully and honourably for the final time on Dec. 26th, 2009 at the age of 88. We established this tribute page to him on December 27th, 2009
on receiving word of his passing. "Hal Sisson passed away of severe Aortic Stenosis after 18 days in hospital waiting for a heart valve replacement. He was able to spend Christmas day at home, but unfortunately the medical bureaucracy moved too slowly for the operation to take place." He penned his own auto-obituary and Lindy asked that this be broadcast to the 9/11 Truth folks whom he loved so dearly. We are pleased to share it:

At the end of 2006
marked the time of my awakening concerning 9/11, and if you pardon my
long-winded manner - I feel the following story about how I met Hal
Sisson might be relevant in context of our mutual admiration for so
great an individual. I felt so helpless those first few months
after
realization of the disturbing truth regarding 9/11- It's not just a
single false-flag event where 3,000 innocent people
were sacrificed,
this malevolence that is truly responsible for the event and subsequent
wars has spread throughout our society; the justice system, banking,
media - like a cancer. In trying to reach out and find another
soul to
whom I could relate, I had the good fortune to get in contact with
Wayne Prante in Vancouver, and like many others in various cities, I
was prompted by him to start a group - ours being Victoria 9/11 Truth.
At this same time, I had heard about some gentleman
in Victoria who wrote a book about 9/11, and he had given a
lecture on
this topic downtown at the Victoria Library. As serendipity
provides,
my wife's best friend knew of Hal Sisson through her father - one of
Hal's friends - so she told me about him and identified the person who
gave the lecture. With a mutual connection in place, I called up
Hal
as a complete stranger, and he and I met for a long talk. He had
just
turned 86 yrs old the day before, yet I was so startled to meet
somebody whose mental faculties were not only unburdened by age - but
in stark contrast, this fellow was sharp, witty, and extremely
intelligent. Thus began my friendship with this wonderful
man.
I was always cognizant of the fact that every
chance I had to experience Hal's company was indeed a rare gift - not
because of his advanced age, but because of his experience and unique
outlook on life. We told many jokes, and we also talked a lot
about
9/11 Truth. Hal had the same problems as any of us - his circle
of
friends were not in support of his convictions regarding 9/11, yet he
pursued this path in spite of any scorn - because as he said to me more
than once,
"The course dictated to us
by logic and the pursuit of justice must be followed - no matter where
it leads"
I'm so honoured and grateful that I had Hal Sisson
for my friend. I am sad today that he is gone, but I've got all
of his
books in my library, and memories I will cherish for the rest of my
life.
Peter Zaza,
Victoria, BC I could write for pages about what a special man Hal has shown himself to be in the 2-3 years I have known him, and though we all knew that he did not have much time left, it is still with great sadness that one learns of his passing. He really gave everything he had to what he believed in. In the late stages of congestive heart failure, he would drive himself alone across Victoria at night to the 9/11 meetings, and he'd climb the steps to the meeting room, and would be so exhausted that he'd have to lean on the table on his folded arms and wait for strength to return. And when it did, he'd be be full of balanced insights, and great jokes, and he'd give everyone a fair and kindly hearing. One day on the phone I asked him, "why doesn't everyone who realized what happened on 9/11 try to do something about it?" And he said, "You've got to understand, Elizabeth, that you and I do what we do because we have to." It was such a simple reply, and yet it was the first time I understood why I've given so much of my own time to this issue -- because there was no going back to a normal life once I knew what we all know about that day. What Hal meant was that we could not live with this falsity without making a stand. And that's what we so admired and respected in him, and he in return understood what drives all of us who are making that same stand. That's the bedrock bond between the people in this movement, and the words Hal used make it very clear. Elizabeth Woodworth, Victoria, BC My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Although we recognized Hal's advanced age, it does not lessen the shock or profound sadness. I met Hal on a number of occasions over the course of the past three years and each time I always felt ameliorated after the experience. He siezed life without succumbing to the bullshit. He was unpretentious and approachable. He was that eternally spirited puckish schoolboy prankster but held within his head the secrets of the cosmos and within his heart the wisdom of the ages. We are, all of us, lesser now today than yesterday without him. We have lost a remarkable genius and a titan of the human spirit. Rest in peace Hal. Steve Poole, Victoria, BC Whether we talked 9/11, SPP or marbles, it was always a pleasure to chat and share a laugh with Hal. His company was enjoyable and refreshing. Meeting with someone so vibrant in senior years was remarkable. A generous and special man indeed! Your absence will be noticed Hal and you will be missed. Elaine Wallner, Victoria, BC I too want to add my thoughts on the passing of Hal Sisson. Hal was an exposer of lies and hypocrisy both great and small. I had the pleasure of meeting Hal 4 times in the last 3 years. I especially enjoyed sharing a Chinese smorg meal with Hal and others from the 9/11 crew in Victoria, BC. I have read from his wonderful book Modus Operandi 9/11 on my radio show and a copy of his 2008 Potshots is currently in my bathroom. Rhona has asked me many times what I am laughing at while sitting on the throne. (Hal would appreciate that!) He was a funny and gifted writer and a brave an exemplary man! I hope you are on a more sensible plane, Hal. Love and Respect, Raymond Geisler Unbought and Unbossed Radio Show Nanaimo, BC PS Truther friends - I am planning to dedicate my next show to Hal (Wed. Dec. 30th) . Please call in if you have something to say. If you know any one else who might want to say a kind word on behalf of Hal on this Wednesday's Unbought and Unbossed radio show, please forward and call CHLY at 250-740-1017 between 8-10 PM on the Dec. 30th. I just finished reading one of his books and was going to write him an email about how much I enjoyed it. This is definitely sad news. Hal was a great man and will be missed. An activist to the end. I am a bit lost for words. If I make it to 89, I hope I will spend those final years as Hal did. Drew Noftle,
Vancouver, BC (presently in China) Hal's deep dedication to exposing the 9/11 weapon of mass deception should serve as an inspiration to all seeking truth, transparency, and ultimately peace and justice. My thoughts and sympathies to his loved ones, Rukshana Enjjineer As the only other human being on the planet crazy enough to write a humorous book about the 9/11 inside job, Hal Sisson and I must have been two nuts out of the same shell. Just knowing he was around made life bearable. When I grow up I want to be the kind
of curmudgeon Hal was. And I hope to whip his ass at ping-pong in
paradise someday insha'allah.
Truth Jihad Radio I had the opportunity to interview Hal on two occasions on radio, and after the first one, our paths happily intersected at the 9/11 Conference in Vancouver a couple years back, and out and about in Victoria. Yes, Hal was generous, principled, intelligent, and humane, but he was funny too! Who else could write a novel about the most evil event since the engineering of the Second World War, 9/11 and still have you laughing while you read it? I too felt the pang of sudden loss when hearing he had died. I sure hope you're wrong about that atheist stuff Hal. Happy trails and thanks for all the fish. Chris Cook, Gorilla Radio, Victoria, BC I first got to know Hal through my work with the Defence of Canadian Liberty Committee of which Hal was a member We may also have shared membership in the Citizens for Canadian Unity. I remember standing with him on the steps of the Vancouver Supreme Court sharing a banner . He took the time and made the effort more than once to come from Victoria to attend a court appearance in these citizen group initiatives. He knew the issues to the core. Standing with him was not only inspiring but also encouraging. Fighting those battles took a lot of energy and courage. The presence and counsel of Hal always alleviated the discomfort of the struggle Hal, I know you are now soaring among the stars having taken your rightful place in the universe. Perhaps from there you will choose to continue your work as a spirit force and guide towards peace on earth Hal, if you choose, instead of resting on your well deserved laurels enjoying the joy and peace of the universe, you could carve out a niche from eternity to be a spirit force of energy directing those of us still here who are still looking for ways and means to restore the nourishing life force of Mother Gaia while we still have time. Those of us who realize the deception of corporate environmentalism (keep the masses taxed, poor and dumb) can use all the help we can get from above. I'll be waiting for your knock on the door of my dreams, Hal. See you there. I remain your friend In eternal search for peace and truth. Connie Fogal I met Hal during the early days of the Victoria Street Newz, around 2004-05. Hal was one of our first subscribers, the first to invest in us by way of an ad for his newly released book. He and his friend visited our office, and told me stories of their own university writings and journalism adventures and, ironically it turns out, their youthful attraction to classmate Shirley Douglas. Ironically, I suggest, since Shirley is the daughter of Tommy Douglas, who would no doubt be rather displeased at the way his vision of public health care is being mismanaged and underfunded by some uncaring and corrupt corporate government officials and their unelected employee puppets. I remember saying hi to Hal while he was having coffee with his YMCA buddies after his workouts. One day I gave him a "TV Be Gone" device designed by a San Francisco activist to shut down any annoying television, which Hal found delightful. The last time I saw Hal he and Doreen were waiting in the Fringe Festival line-up for, not-surprisingly, a burlesque show. Hal gave me a copy of his newest book, and we joked about what he'd be writing next. In yoga we learn, among other things, the importance of living in the moment and also the lesson of non-attachment. Hal, you knew how to live each moment .... and now we've got to let you go. Wherever you are, I hope it's a world with more compassion and sensibility than this one. And if it isn't they'd better watch out ... an activist writer is on his way !!! Janine Bandcroft So said to hear this. I had the pleasure of meeting him in May last year, and enjoyed his take on the world and his humour. Regards. Annie Machon I was one of the orginal Sorry Bout That players in Peace River. Hal, along with many others, created a great theatrical production that so many enjoyed. Hal was a talented man. I live on the Island, wish I had known he was in Victoria. I can just imagine what is taking place "up there" after Hal arrived. He'll have fun. Deepest sympathy to Doreen and family. Chuck Benson Parksville, BC Message on behalf of Hal's family: I can't thank and everyone who has commented here or worked with my Dad on the movement or his books, or political articles enough. I am blessed to be the daughter of this amazing man who loved life, liberty, promoted free thinking and above all laughter! He has been an inspiration to me all my life and in the lives of my two teenage children - may they be the next generation of rebels! Our loss is profound, but we have our instructions - to make a difference in the world and have as good a time as possible doing it! In a conversation he had with a friend towards the end of his life he said a lot of people get ideas but never do them.... his advice was that when you have an idea what you have to do is to "get your ass in the saddle and do it". I am so glad that towards the end of his life, Dad found himself amongst this group of people who know how to do that. Keep up the good work! Another group that he conspired in pursuing his comedy early mid way through his life were the Peace Players and if you want to explore this lighter side of Hal you should consider purchasing his book Sorry Bout That. Just for the record he was only 88 (his birthday was coming up in March) and said every older person looks in the mirror as if they were 17 and says what the hell happened! Also - he had been in hospital waiting for heart surgery that the medical system was too slow to achieve and died suddenly in hospital (not at home) mid day on boxing day. However, we were able to break him out of there for two terrific afternoons to be home with us for Christmas eve and day. So he had a good couple of days before he slipped this mortal coil. He mentioned at Christmas dinner to my children that you live on as long as you live in the memories of those you leave behind. I think he'd be blown away by the outpouring of memories and thoughts about him and his contribution - and I know his spirit will live long in all of us. And Wayne - he probably was the oldest 911er on the planet and as well he was the oldest sit-down stand-up comic in Canada! Le droite du Seigneur Reality Check: More at stake than CBC's Hockey Night in Canada song
by Hal Sisson, Q.C.
"Maybe because 9/11 stripped away the rule of law and was the ‘catalyst’ for the destruction of freedom. Further the discredited version of 9/11 events as promulgated by the Bush Administration is the justification for Canada’s bloody involvement in the war in Afghanistan. If Bush’s version of 9/11 is a lie, like his story on “weapons of mass destruction”, then Canada must ask why it should continue to sacrifice its sons and daughters and spend its resources in a distant country that has never attacked or threatened Canada’s security. Especially an engagement which, owing to Canada’s membership in NATO, threatens to draw Canada into a wider conflict in Pakistan, Syria and Iran. Do Canadians care or get excited that now we have Stephen Harper following the dictates of the Bush Administration? No they do not seem to care."

Insights of a Canadian Lawyer: Was 9/11 an Inside Job?
by Hal Sisson, Q.C.
"The Canadian Government can no longer deny that the official story told by the Bush Administration is complete nonsense. This discredited version of 9/11 events as promulgated by the Bush Administration is the justification for Canada’s bloody involvement. Hal Sisson's Review of "9/11 Follow the Money" by Splitting the Sky
"In his youth the American justice system knifed John Boncore in the back and then arrested him for carrying a concealed weapon. But their harassment did not stop 'Splitting the Sky' (his Mohawk name) from literally doing just that when it comes to his public speaking persona. He rivets you to your seat with a bolt from the blue. First, he backs up his contentions with meticulous research and then hits the audience with the logical result of the preamble, in an extremely intense and convincing manner.
Every speech by Splitting the Sky is an insurrection that you really have to hear in order to appreciate John's ability and logic – so if you get the chance to hear him do not miss it. The rich are only the poor with money but they control the world; and on the occasion of Splitting the Sky's Victoria speech he dealt with the subject matter and conclusion that 9/11 was verifiably a false flag inside job – particularly focusing on the methodology of 'Follow the Money' – i.e. who stood to gain financially from the events of that horrifically evil day of infamy that has changed the world society in which we live. The perpetrators certainly weren't Osama and the nineteen Arabs alleged by the FBI and the American Government. Better to look at rogue elements of the Bush Administration and at various international so-called intelligence agencies such as the ISI, Mossad, and the ever present CIA, the masters of black operations."

Hal Sisson: 9/11 For Whose Benefit?
